means a bulk container specially designed for repeated use for carriage to, from and between offshore facilities. An offshore bulk container is designed and constructed in accordance with the guidelines for the approval of offshore containers handled in open seas specified by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in document MSC/Circ.860;

Ein Container für Güter in loser Schüttung, der besonders für die wiederholte Verwendung für die Beförderung von, zu und zwischen Offshore-Einrichtungen ausgelegt ist. Ein Offshore-Schüttgut-Container wird nach den Richtlinien für die Zulassung von auf hoher See eingesetzten Offshore-Containern, die von der Internationalen Seeschifffahrtsorganisation (IMO) im Dokument MSC/Circ. 860 festgelegt wurden, ausgelegt und gebaut.
